Week Thirteen NFL Picks

NFL Week Thirteen Picks

This week has some huge favorites and features some explosive offenses that are playing at home. The Patriots, Steelers, Saints and Packers are all at home and facing average to poor defenses. Big Ben and Drew Brees specifically have major home/road splits and any pieces of their offense are in play. The Patriots are without Gronk for what looks like the remainder of the year. This hurts their offense but also creates opportunity for others. I have written below some players that I will be looking to put into rosters this weekend.

The NFL Week Thirteen Picks:

Cash Games

Aaron Rodgers ($8500 on FD, $6700 on DK) – Rodgers torched the supposedly stingy Eagles pass defense last week on the road. He returns home and gets a struggling Houston defense. Rodgers is heating up and has 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the year.

Drew Brees ($9300 on FD, $7600 on DK) – The home field advantage for Brees is well documented throughout his career. This year the Saints are averaging 34 points at home. The Saints have a Vegas implied team total of 29.5.

Ben Roethlisberger ($8300 on FD, $7400 on DK) – As well as Drew Brees has been at home, Roethlisberger has actually been statistically better. Since 2014, Big Ben is averaging over 24 points per game at home.

Running Backs:

David Johnson ($9200 on FD, $9500 on DK) – Johnson is in play every week. He is leading the league by averaging 142 scrimmage yards a game. The Redskins run defense is allowing 117 weekly yards and 4.6 yards per carry. They also have allowed the most rushing touchdowns (16).

Jordan Howard ($7400 on FD, $6900 on DK) – Howard has over 100 yards in five of the eight games hes started. He is second in the league in yards per carry with 5.1. He faces a 49ers defense that is allowing the most rushing yards and fantasy points to running backs in the NFL.

Spencer Ware ($7400 on FD, $6400 on DK) – Ware has struggled in the middle of the season, but is back to getting high touch counts. He has 54 over the past three games. Atlanta allows the second most points per game to running backs.
