NFL Week Seventeen Picks

NFL Week Seventeen Picks

This is one of the hardest weeks to predict in the NFL every year. It seems even more difficult this year thanks to all of the AFC teams being decided other than seeding. In the NFC there are still a couple teams with a reason to play hard. Besides that we have a lot of teams seeing what they have in young guys on bad teams, resting their veterans or resting their star players like the Steelers as they have nothing to play for. My picks for this week will be an abbreviated version. I won’t have nearly as many players or as much reasoning as this week is so unpredictable. Keep an eye out for coach speak and teams history with resting players or trying out their younger players from years past. Good luck and thanks for a great season of reading this article!

The NFL Week Seventeen Picks:

Cash Games

Aaron Rodgers ($8800 on FD, $7700 on DK) –  The only game where both teams are playing to win. The winner gets the division and a playoff spot. This is a prime spot for a big game from the red hot Rodgers to give you the safe floor.

Kirk Cousins ($7900 on FD, $6500 on DK) – Washington looks to be in the best scenario of teams playing their starters. They need to win to get into the playoffs and the Giants are already locked in and likely to rest some of their starters.

Running Backs:

Jacquizz Rodgers ($5200 on FD, $4900 on DK) – Doug Martin is suspended and Charles Sims went to IR. This leaves Rodgers as the only option in the backfield. The Bucs should still play hard as they are a young team that is looking to grow. Rodgers should easily see over 20 touches.

Fitzgerald Toussaint ($4300 on FD, $6300 on DK) – The Steelers are resting Le’Veon Bell. They say they will give DeAngelo Williams some work, I expect that to be limited due to his age and struggles with injuries this year. Toussaint should be the centerpiece of the offense against the Browns.
