NFL Week Fourteen Picks
Week Fourteen brings us a lot of uncertainty at quarterback it seems. There aren’t any of those clear-cut games where a quarterback should explode. The highest Vegas projected team is the Bucs at 26.75. This is the first time since Week One of 2013 that no team has a Vegas implied point total over 27. This is the third lowest implied point total average (22.59) this year. This could make a lower scoring week than usual for DFS or it could get all thrown out the window with a couple of shootouts. Either way, here are the players I am looking to target this week.
The NFL Week Fourteen Picks:
Andrew Luck ($8200 on FD, $6900 on DK) – Luck is coming off a monster game against the Jets where he put up 278 yards and four touchdowns while the Colts destroyed the Jets. He gets to come home to play a banged up Texans team that will be without Jonathan Joseph and Jadeveon Clowney looks to be limited if he plays.
Kirk Cousins ($7600 on FD, $6300 on DK) – Cousins is playing great so far this year. He is third in the league in passing yardage and has at least 18 fantasy points in five of his last six games. He faces a regressing Eagles defense who have allowed five of their past six quarterbacks faced to finish in the top ten fantasy points for that week.
Russell Wilson ($7900 on FD, $6600 on DK) – The Packers defense has allowed a quarterback to finish with 17 fantasy points or more in five of their last six games. That includes Brock Osweiler with 18 last week. Wilson has a healthy offense with the return of Thomas Rawls and Tyler Lockett finally looking healthy.
David Johnson ($9700 on FD, $9800 on DK) – David Johnson is out of this world. He is on pace for the most fantasy points from a running back since the sensational run of LT in the mid-2000’s. He is averaging 142 yards from scrimmage per game. His price tag is getting extremely high, but he keeps producing.
Devonta Freeman ($7500 on FD, $6100 on DK) – Freeman seems to have things open up for him a bit with the return of Tevin Coleman. He has four touchdowns in his past two games. The Falcons look to be without Mohamed Sanu and Julio is banged up. They could really lean on Freeman and Coleman this week.
Jeremy Hill ($6900 on FD, $5800 on DK) – Hill has been frustrating the past two games as the feature back without Gio Bernard. Things open up for him this week as he faces the Browns who are 31st in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to running backs. They are allowing over 4.5 YPC on the season. In his last meeting with the Browns, Hill had only nine carries but turned them into 168 yards and a touchdown.
