NHL Value Picks of the Night: Tuesday March 28th

The “Value Picks of the Night” series will be a periodic “these are guys I like from tonight’s slate” type of article. While I will most often look towards value options — choosing stars is the easy part — there will still be some higher-end players listed, particularly on nights where there aren’t a lot of games.

C – SEAN COUTURIER (PHILADELPHIA) – 3,900 DK, 4,300 FD

Couturier is playing arguably his best hockey of the season (he has eight points and 23 shots in his last 10) and is in a good spot at home against Ottawa.

Over the last 10 games, the Sens rank 27th in 5v5 shot attempts allowed per 60 minutes and 21st in scoring chances allowed per 60. They are giving up plenty of looks at full-strength and Couturier will get plenty of ice to take advantage of that.

Couturier also centers Jake Voracek and Travis Konecny on the 2nd power play so he definitely offers good upside at his price.
