Daily Fantasy Baseball Report 4/20

Madison Bumgarner ($11,400)- Madbum is always an option especially when he is at home where he had a sparkling 1.94 ERA at AT&T Park last year. He takes the mound tonight vs the Arizona Diamondbacks who have no real offensive threat outside of Goldschimdt. I really  like this spot for Bumgarner tonight on a slate that is void of solid pitching options. Vegas has the Diamondbacks projected at an implied team total of 3 runs which is the cherry on top.

Joe Ross ($8,100)- Ross has two starts under his belt this season with a 0.61 ERA, 10 strikeouts, four walks and a 0.82 WHIP. He faced the Marlins in his first start of the year where he allowed one run in 7 IP. The Marlins are struggling right now and at this price you don’t need a monster performance from him to exceed value.

Nathan Eovaldi ($7,100)- The New York Yankees are at home tonight vs the Oakland Athletics and will be sending Eovaldi out to the hill. He really turned it on late last year and has 15 strikeouts in his two starts this season. The Athletics have just a .213 AVG vs RHP so far this year with a .274 wOBA. Eovaldi will give up a few hits in this one but he has the talent to put up 8+ K’s as well. The matchup is good as well as his price and like Ross, he doesn’t have to do much to hit value.

Bartolo Colon ($5,500)- Look at what we have here! A cheap pitcher going up against the almost non-existent Philadelphia Phillies offense. The Phillies have scored 37 runs on the year which is tied for last place and I am at the point where I will consider starting any pitcher against them. The big veteran Colon is super cheap at 5.5k and has the best value out of all pitchers today. His ownership rate will be high but he is worth a hard look at this price.

Chris Davis 1B ($4,800)- His nickname is Crush for a reason, his career .292 wOBA vs RHP is just crazy along with his .386wOBA. R.A. Dickey for the Blue Jays is the lucky right-handed pitcher that will be serving up home runs to Davis and the Orioles tonight. Let me explain what Dickey compares to. You know when you have family/friends over and you’re having a few cold brewskies  and you decide to grill, only to leave the food on too long and it’s over cooked? That’s what Dickey is like, overdone, burnt and sometimes toxic. The O’s are the top stack of the night and Crush will more than likely be the top run producer.

Jonathan Villar 2B ($3,00)- I don’t like much at second base tonight so I will more than likely punt. Villar is batting second in the Brewers lineup tonight sandwiched between Santana and Braun. They will be teeing off vs Tommy Milone and the Twins tonight. In Milone’s last outing vs the Angles he let up four runs in six innings with 8 hits. Milwaukee has an implied team total of 4.5 runs and I fully expect them to get to Milone early and often tonight making Villar a good punt candidate.

Stephen Vogt C ($3,300)- Most people will flock to Brian McCann behind the plate, if that happens you will have obviously have Vogt at a lower ownership rate which is a plus. He has the power to take a pitcher deep especially vs RHP which he gets tonight in Nathan Eovaldi. Vogt currently has a .336 wOBA and an ISO of .192. I will take a chance on Vogt to hit a jack tonight.

Manny Machado 3B/SS ($4,900)- Hey look, another Oriole! Poor Dickey is going to get smashed tonight. Machado has a positive ISO split of .250 vs RHP to .165 vs LHP. You can use Manny at either third or SS on DK tonight.

Corey Seager SS ($4,000)- Seager and the Dodgers get a juicy matchup vs Julio Teheran and the Braves tonight in Atlanta. I am pretty sure I have used Seager in at least 70% of my lineups this year just waiting for him to explode. Tonight his .411 wOBA vs RHP will wreak havoc on Teheran as he piles up the good ol’ fantasy points. Carlos Correa is also in play as always.

Ryan Braun ($4,600)- Hey look, another Brewer! Ok so you know what teams I will be stacking tonight. Braun has a .244 ISO vs LHP and is a great bet to go deep tonight off of Milone.

Mets outfield- I love all three of the Mets outfielders tonight vs Jeremy Hellickson. Granderson has an ISO of .237 vs RHP, Conforto .258 ISO and Cespedes comes in at .268 ISO. The Mets put up 11 runs last night so they are sure to have some heavy ownership on them but I see them doing damage once again tonight.

Value Bats: Chris Coghlan ($3,200) Michael Saunders ($3,600) Pedro Alvarez ($3,500) Obdubel Herrera ($3,500) Justin Bour ($3,100) Nomar Mazara ($3,200) Chris Carter ($3,600)

Stacks: Yankees, Mets, Brewers, Dodgers, Astros.
