CorsiHL’s Daily SMASHBORD – February 7th, 2018

We’ve got three games on tap tonight, with one obvious/chalky/expensive spot, and a surprising number of other playable spots. I had to get a bit ruthless with narrowing down lines today so not to name everyone, so here it goes:

TOR2: Marner-Kadri-Marleau, $14.9K:  There are plenty of different ways you can go with this Leafs-Preds game. Babcock is still a pretty hard line matcher at home despite juggling up his lines, so I think we’ll see TOR2 (Kadri) matching up against NSH1 (Johansen), TOR1 (Matthews) matching up NSH2 (Turris), and TOR3 (Bozak) matching up against NSH3 (Bonino). Based on that, my favourite line in this game is TOR2, with Nazem Kadri and Mitch Marner getting PP1 time against the frequently-penalized Preds. I generally don’t love attacking Nashville, but it becomes a little easier to stomach doing so with them on the road. TOR2 has been playing high paced hockey at both ends of the ice, and I really like the potential to see multiple PP opportunities against the league’s most penalized team this season. The prices are also very reasonable on TOR2, and you can afford to toss in a more expensive stack with them. D-man correlation play: Morgan Rielly, $5,100 (5v5, PP)
